I have a simple question :

When you access the details page for an audio document, at the bottom it says: "Downloaded X times", as I understand it equals the number of time the document was downloaded, but when the document is played through streaming is there a count that allows us to know how many times the audio document was streamed?

they say that counter counts each file that is downloaded, but when using flash player, it ticks only one time per one IP unrelated to how many files was streamed.

... and when using the link http://www.archive.org/download/xyz/xyz_vbr.m3u, does it add one to the count per IP address?

Many thanks for the information, it is greatly appreciated.

i'm not 100% sure, but i think it must count each streamed track if you open .m3u file. i dont think counter can tell whether you download 64k mp3 file of you stream it with winamp...
